May 5th is #GivingTuesdayNow

Support our community of immigrants!

Our immigrant students have been among the hardest hit by COVID-19. They live in neighborhoods at the center of the pandemic, including Corona, Elmhurst and the South Bronx. Even before the virus, they had a median income of $12,000. Most have now lost their survival jobs and are experiencing extreme economic hardship. Those who are working are in front-line essential jobs and every day are taking risks to protect us. Many are afraid to access government benefits because of their immigration status.

The ESU has created an emergency fund to support our 250 immigrant clients during this uncertain and challenging time. The fund will provide direct cash assistance for groceries, medicine and other necessities.

Stand with immigrants today! Your gift will help the most vulnerable New Yorkers get through this crisis.

Donate today to support immigrants in need

#GivingTuesdayNow is a global day of giving and unity in response to the unprecedented crisis caused by COVID-19. The day is designed to encourage citizen engagement, philanthropy and support for communities and nonprofits on the front lines of the pandemic.
