Queen Elizabeth II Evening

Elizabeth II is now the longest reigning monarch in British History, having surpassed the previous record holder, Queen Victoria. She marked the 64th anniversary of her accession on February 6. April 21 will be her 90th birthday. It is hard now to recall a time she was not on the world stage: serving her people; giving sage counsel to a long line of prime ministers; and representing all that is best in Britain.

The Union Club will honor her with a cocktail reception on Friday, May 6, from  6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Please join us on May 6 to recognize this remarkable woman. We will enjoy the Union Club raw bar, oysters and clams on the half shell, shrimp cocktail, cheese and crudités tables, and passed hot and cold hors d'oeuvres. British Consul Susie Kitchens will offer remarks celebrating the Queen. British organizations from the Boston area are also invited to attend this event.
