The legend lives on. From the moment one entered the festive decorated historic home, the "hostess with the mostest," Marijke and team, John and Jon, treated the guests to a fairyland Old World setting and Yuletide fê
And here she is, radiant and welcoming.
The President greeted the guests, and welcomed all, "to the outskirts of Amsterdam," adding that he, "hoped they all had good flights over." The following photos indicate that members, laughing and agreeing that they all felt as though we had been transported to a fairyland, such was the enchanting beauty of one room after another. He then thanked all the members who contributed to the Shakespeare Competition some $2300.00 as the price of admission. The fact that the Fords gifted the membership such a magnificent offering is beyond words. And when asked to show their appreciation, members clapped mightily. The party officially began when host John Ford delivered a moving testimony to the great bounties the Lord has bestowed upon us through his solemn and beautiful prayer.

And then it was time to sing Christmas Carols. Valary played, by ear, one carol after another. The singers had a ball and the audience affirmed that the sounds of Christmas Tide, filtering throughout the house, were gladdening the heart. Valery played the piano like a muse.
The passioned singing of Auld Lang Syne brought the extraordinary occasion to a fitting end. What does one say after such a special experience. Kyrie eleison. Thanks to Team Ford.
