The English-Speaking Union October Brunch Meeting

Dear ESU Members & Guests:

We launch the 68th program year of our Indianapolis Branch of The English-Speaking Union amidst the bicentennial celebration of the State of Indiana.  Several days ago, the 3,200-mile Indiana Bicentennial Torch Relay began in Corydon, our first state capital, and will wind its way through all 92 counties and end on October 15 at the State House in downtown Indianapolis.  Mark Newman, Executive Director of the state's Office of Tourism Development, will give a presentation on the state's celebration of Indiana's 200th birthday, including the Torch Relay.  Please plan to come learn about the varied activities of our state's bicentennial celebration and celebrate our pride in the Hoosier State.  Afterward, for those who may be interested, I will lead a quick tour of Woodstock's centennial historic photo exhibit in the lower level.  Please consider bringing a friend, colleague, or family member to this fun ESU gathering!

The cost will be $20 per person and includes the Woodstock Club brunch.  Please clip the reservation form below and send to our Branch Treasurer, Niels P. Lyster, 1752 Glencary Crest, Indianapolis, IN 46228 no later than September 24.

If there are any questions, please feel free to contact me at jfadely@brebeuf.org.

PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR THESE FUTURE MEETINGS
