29th Annual British Faire

The ESU Kansas City Branch joined 40 other vendors at the 29th Annual British Faire in Lenexa, KS on Saturday, November 15, 2014.  Many purveyors of British goods and services were displaying their merchandise including food, cheese, tea, Celtic & Scottish jewelry, antiques, books and holiday goods. There was a traditional British Afternoon Tea that sold out for six sittings.

Entertainment was provided by local dancers, musicians, bagpipes, jugglers, face painters and more. A play area for children kept them happy. A variety of local British clubs and organizations were represented.

Our ESU informational table was at the center of the activity surrounded by all the entertainment scheduled for the Faire.  So, everyone at the Faire saw our ESU banner and table display.

The Annual British Faire is hosted by the Daughters of the British as an annual fundraiser to benefit retirement communities and local charities.

The ESU booth had information on the ESU including membership brochures, photos of events and other literature about the ESU...especially promoting our upcoming 2015 Shakespeare Competition and encouraging high school students to enter their school in the competition.  Photo left: Jeff Schnabel, president and Deborah McArdle, treasurer of KC Branch.
