A Celebration of Harold Pinter

Julian Sands, well known British actor, will present a series of Harold Pinter's poems in a special production titled, A Celebration of Harold Pinter. Sands' performance will be at Polsky Theatre on the campus of Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kan.

ESU members and Friends of ESU--Don't miss this rare opportunity to be part of a program you will not soon forget. Harold Pinter (1930-2008) was one of the most influential modern British dramatists, his writing career spanned more than 50 years.

Time: 8:00 pm

Where: Polsky Theatre is located in the Carlsen Center on the campus of Johnson County Community College, at the southwest corner of College Boulevard and Quivira Rd in Overland Park, Kan. The main entrance is on College Boulevard at Oakmont Street.

Performance Ticket Price: The ESU has arranged a discounted ticket price of $30 per person (Reg. $35) with a minimum of 10.

Tickets must be paid for by November 15, 2014, or sooner. Please mail your check payable to "ESU" to the attention of Deborah McArdle, 8436 Lee Blvd., Leawood, KS 66206.

Preshow Dinner: For those attending the Julian Sands Performance, you have the option of purchasing a special Preshow Dinner served in the Regnier Center next to the Carlsen Center where the Julian Sands Performance is held.

This special Preshow Dinner is prix fixe at $25 which includes a first course, entree, dessert and water, hot tea and coffee. The prix fixe $25 includes tax and gratuity. Soda and Iced Tea available for $1.50 per glass and wine may be purchased separately on site at $7/glass. A vegetarian menu option is also available. Please arrive at 5:45 pm for the Preshow Dinner. The first course will be served at 6:00 pm sharp.

Performance and Preshow Dinner Package:
If you want to purchase a ticket(s) to the Julian Sands performance AND the Preshow Dinner, the combined price is $55 per person. When you call Deborah to order your performance ticket(s), tell her you want the performance and preshow dinner package at $55. All ESU members and guests attending the performance and preshow dinner will be sitting together as a group.

Reminder Emails:
We will be sending reminder emails for this program and, for those attending, we will send a confirmation email to you about November 15 which is the deadline for payment of the performance ticket (and optional preshow dinner).

While this performance is not until early December, it is expected to sell out and tickets are on sale now. If you are able to commit to this December 5, 2015, performance (and optional preshow dinner) we recommend you contact Deborah McArdle as soon as possible to reserve your seat.

Working closely with Pinter, Sands was granted a rare insight into his personality, life, and work.
