Event Recap

The Heart of America Shakespeare Festival presented the delightful pastoral comedy in Kansas City, As You Like It at Southmoreland Park.  This story has everything we love about Shakespeare's comedies--mistaken identity, madness and mayhem.  And of course, LOVE. An enthusiastic group of ESU members and guests attended this delightful Shakespeare comedy on Monday, July 1, 2013.  It was perfect weather with the evening temperature at 75. 

The spectacular production had lavish stage sets, colorful costuming and all of our favorite actors and actresses:  Carla Noack as Rosalind, John Rensenhouse as Duke Senior, Mark Robbins as Duke Frederick, Bruce Robbins as Jaques, Todd Carlton Lanker as Orlando and Cinnamon Schultz as Celia just to name a few in this great cast!  This production of As You Like It, in its 21^st season, was directed by Sidonie Garrett who is a terrific supporter of the ESU of Kansas City.
