The English-Speaking Union of Kansas City invites Shakespeare Competition teachers and current or past competition students to lunch with Nathan Darrow. A 1994 Shawnee Mission North graduate, Nathan Darrow, who lives in New York, has returned to Kansas City to play the title role, Hamlet, for the Heart of America's Shakespeare Festival's 25th annual summer production.

Hamlet runs from June 13- July 2 at Southmoreland Park. The ESU will attend the performance as a group on Wednesday, June 28, the night before our celebration at Shawnee Mission North. Information about making reservations to attend on June 28 follows.
The ESU wants to thank those teachers and students who have been a part of our annual Shakespeare competition during the past thirty years. Please join us for this program during which Nathan will share his reflections, answer questions and offer advice for aspiring actors and Shakespeare lovers. Following, we will enjoy a casual lunch and will provide an opportunity for you to ask questions about the performance of Hamlet.

We are all VERY excited to see Nathan Darrow, who was a finalist in the ESU's Shakespeare competition in both 1993 and 1994. We certainly hope you are able to attend our celebration!
While at Shawnee Mission North, Nathan competed under the direction of Maureen Davis in the ESU's annual Shakespeare Competition! Over the years, he has added extensively to his experience in Shakespearian performance, including the title roles in Henry IV and Romeo in The Heart of America Festival's productions. He performed in King Lear with Kevin Spacey in London and on Broadway. He brings with him an impressive amount of stage and television experience including regular roles in BILLIONS, HOUSE OF CARDS, GOTHAM and WIZARD OF LIES. He will be in a new show on Netflix called GODLESS. Nathan has performed in several productions in Kansas City theatres including Unicorn and New Theatre Restaurant.
