Taking Tea with Shakespeare
Event Recap
On April 22, 2012, Kansas City ESU members attended the 9th annual "Taking Tea with Shakespeare" sponsored by The Leawood Stage Company, the Magna Carta and Bard of Avon Chapters of the Daughters of the British Empire and The Barn Players who hosted the 9th annual "Taking Tea with Shakespeare." Tea and a vast array of delectable tea sandwiches, scones and other sweets were served by members of the DBE. During the tea, the Barn Players presented selected scenes from Shakespeare's plays. Music was provided by the Truman High School Chamber Music Group. There was a silent auction, raffles and door prizes which added to the ambience of the afternoon in honor of the Bard's birthday.
