Event
ESU cordially invites all members and Friends of ESU to a fun, holiday Dinner-Theatre program on Thursday, December 12, 2019. The Summit Theatre Group presents a holiday favorite "Winter Wonderettes." The musical is directed by our own Ben Martin and music direction by Ben's wife, Roxanne, both long-time ESU members.
Winter Wonderettes was created as a sequel to the long-running Off-Broadway hit The Marvelous Wonderettes. It has been produced in cities all over the U.S. to sellout crowds and now we will be treated to this delightful holiday musical revue with a delicious dinner added to the package.
It's 1968. This seasonal celebration finds the Winter Wonderettes, four talented young singers, entertaining at the annual Harper's Hardware Holiday Party. When Santa turns up missing, the girls use their talent and creative ingenuity to save the holiday party! Featuring great '60s versions of holiday classics such as "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town," "Jingle Bell Rock," "Run, Rudolph, Run," and "Winter Wonderland," the result is, of course, marvelous! This energetic and glittering holiday package is guaranteed to delight audiences of all ages.
This lighthearted, holiday dinner-theatre program will be held at MCC-Longview Cultural Arts Center in Lee's Summit, MO. This is a wonderful family program. Invite friends and neighbors!
