Annual Christmas Party

For its December meeting the Lexington Branch hosts a Christmas Party in the home of one of the members.  Members contribute Christmas hors d'oeuvres and drinks. This year the party was held at Spring Farm, the lovely home of Margaret Fletcher. 

 
 

Branch Shakespeare Competition

The annual Branch Shakespeare Competition is held at the Blackfriars Playhouse in Staunton, Virginia.  Our competition involves high schools from Rockbridge, Augusta, Rockingham, Appomattox, and Rockingham Counties.  The winner goes on to compete in the National Shakespeare Competition at Lincoln Center.  Our latest competitor, Tatiana Hodgins of East Rockingham County High School, was one of the ten finalists at the National Competition.

 
 

Annual Meeting and Garden Party in Honor of the Queen’s Birthday

Maxwelton, the lovely historical property of Rosa McLaughlin was the site of our Annual Meeting/Garden Party.  Nelle and Jim Busch served as hosts.  This is one of our most popular events and honors the official birthday of the Queen of England.
