ESU Monmouth Branch Visits Monmouth Players for "I Hate Hamlet"

Event Recap Photo

The cast of "I Hate Hamlet", a play by Paul Rudnik

On April 29, ten ESU Monmouth Branch members visited the Monmouth Players in Navesink, NJ, for the first-ever branch partner event there, a production of the comedy "I Hate Hamlet". The venue was sold-out and the play was very funny. Audience members laughed and chuckled throughout, as the actors unfolded the wacky story and zany antics of a crisis-riddled would-be Shakespearean actor (Andrew Rally), a formerly-alive actual Shakespearean actor (John Barrymore), and their friends. Hilarity ensued. The Monmouth Players venue is the former home of an early 20th-century automobile magnate which was then converted into a library and then adapted for theatre. Refreshments were delicious and ample, and also free with paid admission, a deal not seen anywhere else. We look forward to next season and additional successful partner events with Monmouth Players.
