Yuletide Party

On December 8, 2016, spirits were high as our Branch members and friends from the British Schools and Universities Club of New York celebrated the holiday season in style at the annual Yueltide Holiday Party. Guests convened in the ESU Garden Room for what turned out to be a festive and merry occasion.  The Garden Room itself was turned into a winter wonderland filled with festive lights, a beautiful tree, and holiday music all of which set the mood.  The evening started with light hors d'oeuvres and a tipple or two from the bar to warm the guests as they entered.

This year's Yuletide Party was held in partnership with The British Schools and Universities Club of New York. We tucked in to a delicious 3 course festive dinner and exchanged "white elephant" gifts before being treated to some caroling by Pace High School students. A very merry time was had by all. Tour of President and Mrs. Reagan's Private Collection at Christie's

This September we enjoyed a fabulous evening at Christie's, where President and Mrs. Reagan's personal belongings were showcased. The private tour gave us insight into the fascinating and often amusing stories behind some of these iconic items. This included President Reagan's cowboy boots, pieces of Mrs. Reagan's jewelry, furniture and personal gifts such as paintings by Frank Sinatra, which he had gifted to the couple. We finished the evening off with a glass of prosecco or two and some nibbles at Morrell's wine bar.
