"Shakespeare 400" marks the year-long international celebration of William Shakespeare's legacy (1616-2016), and ESU's Syracuse Branch is participating with two major events.
A Shakespeare Teacher Workshop takes place Friday, November 13, at LeMoyne College. Made possible through the cooperative efforts of ESU and The Folger Shakespeare Library, the day-long program is available to area high school English teachers and features Michael Klein, Master Teacher from The Folger Shakespeare Library. Registration is online at www.esuus.org. JoAnn Wallace can answer local questions at jctedi@aol.com.
The Branch's annual Shakespeare Competition for high school students continues honoring the Bard in March. Preparation for that begins now. Area schools have Competition information packets, and students will soon select their monologues and prepare for their in-school competition in December or January.
