Saturday, October 16
7:00 PM (EDT)

Mr. Michael Harold Piano

MOZART      Piano Concerto No. 12 in A Major, K. 414 - Allegro

Dr. E. Quinn Peeper  Piano

CHOPIN        Piano Concerto No. 1 in E Minor, Op. 11 - 2. Romance (Larghetto)

With Steven Ray Artists Orchestra

This concert was inspired by the invitation from the ESU Loire Valley and several other International ESU Branches in France, to perform at a Gala in Paris in June 2020. The Gala would bring guests from all over the world to celebrate the English-Speaking Union of the United States' Centennial. Dr. Quinn Peeper and Mr. Michael Harold were to play with an orchestra led by the legendary conductor Philippe Entremont.  The fete was upended by the pandemic, but the idea for this performance lives on thanks to the commitment of the two generous ESU benefactors, soloists Dr. Quinn Peeper and Mr. Michael Harold. They still hope to perform the full concertos with Maestro Entremont in Paris in June 2022.

This evening we will be treated to their favorite movements from these two iconic pieces.

Dr. E. Quinn Peeper and Mr. Michael Harold dedicate this performance to the memory of His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh (1921-2021), who served as President of the English-Speaking Union of the Commonwealth from 1952 to 2011.
