A Message from the Jackson MS Branch President

Welcome Message

Welcome to Jackson, Mississippi Branch of The English-Speaking Union!

We are an enthusiastic group of Angliophiles trying to fulfill the mission of our international organization to improve the relationship among English-Speaking peoples.

We meet two or three times a year to hear a wide variety of topics related to our common heritage.

Our Branch efforts are focused in two areas:

An annual State-wide Shakespeare Contest; next year will be our tenth year of competition.

Periodically we also provide a stipend to undergraduates traveling to England as part of their British Studies course.

We are an active group, trying to reach beyond our comfortable circumstances to encourage scholarship and international interest
