St. Louis Shakespeare Contest 2016

The St. Louis ESU Branch's Annual Shakespeare competition took place Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Fontbonne University in St. Louis. The winning students are

  • First place: Hannah Ryan from Clayton High School
  • Second place: Thomas Horton from Thomas Jefferson School
  • Third place: Rhiannon Skye Creighton from Mehlville High School

All three will be invited to perform at the 2016 Fine Arts Day in Jefferson City, MO at the State Capitol in conjunction with the Kansas City branch winners. This is a yearly event to stress the importance of the Arts in schools. 
Additionally the first place winner will perform for the St. Louis Branch members on April 3 as part of the day's program.

Hannah Ryan, first place winner, will represent our branch May-1-3 in New York City for the annual national competition. You can also see Hannah's performance at the laying of the wreath in Tower Grove Park in St. Louis in honor of Shakespeare 400 - Celebrating the Legacy 1616-2016

Bravo to all these fine students and to their teachers!
