ROBERT QUINNEY is Organist of New College, Oxford, and Director of New College's acclaimed choir. He is also associate professor in the Faculty of Music, University of Oxford. He maintains a parallel career as a solo organist and is a prolific recording artist: his discs of organ music by Bach, Elgar, Dupré, Wagner and Brahms have been widely acclaimed.

Founded in 1379, the CHOIR of NEW COLLEGE OXFORD is firmly established as one of the most acclaimed British choral ensembles. Celebrated for its distinctive sound, it embodies the splendor of the English choral tradition. The choir frequently performs its diverse repertoire in prestigious venues worldwide, with a particular focus on renaissance and baroque music.

As part of their US tour, the choir will be performing in St. Louis at the renowned Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis. Their additional performance for our St. Louis Branch provides an exceptional preview for those who may attend the evening concert at the Basilica. The college's undergraduate choir members (currently pursing a variety of professions as the future generation of British citizens), as well as the choir's professional singers, will join us for lunch and share in conversation — promising a memorable exchange of international insights. Director Quinney's remarks will give perspective and background to better appreciate the rich tradition and history that enriches every Oxford Choir performance. Don't miss!
