She currently serves as an Artistic Advisor for the St. Louis Science Center.

Ms. Northcott is the Founding Artistic Director of St. Louis Shakespeare and Magic Smoking Monkey Theatre. She has directed and produced over 100 stage productions and acted in nearly as many; she works as a voiceover actor, has written several children's theatre scripts which have been produced professionally, and she directed an award-winning independent film. Ms. Northcott was awarded a BUSS scholarship from the St. Louis Branch in 2016, which enabled her to study at Oxford last July.

In her presentation to the branch, Ms. Northcott will give a behind-the-scenes look at the costume design process and will show how the designs contribute to the character and the production. Theatrical costumes from various St. Louis Shakespeare productions will be on display, providing members and guests with an "up-close and personal" look at this fascinating and significant element of theatre. Bonus: Julia Hotaling, our 2017 Shakespeare Competition winner, will join us and present her winning monologue and sonnet.
