ESU scholarships are for current classroom teachers attending our multi-week courses at Shakespeare's Globe , the University of Edinburgh , and the University of Oxford .

After reviewing your application, your local ESU Branch will contact you to schedule an interview, if applicable.
Once accepted and awarded an ESU TLab Scholarship, the TLab applicant must then apply and be accepted by the TLab program of their choice (Globe, Oxford, SUISS/Edinburgh). Most scholarship recipients are accepted into their first choice program. However, these programs have limited availability. The Globe is extremely competitive.
If you are awarded an ESU TLab Scholarship, you will then need to complete the UK institution's application and email all their required supporting documents for review and submission by ESU National Headquarters by their specific deadline in Spring 2023.
Final acceptance is determined and notified by the UK institution via email in Spring 2023, not the ESU.
Teachers who do not receive an ESU TLab Scholarship may still apply to the program of their choice through the ESU. However, they will need to provide the funds in full for the selected program. Please consult our Fundraising Guide for further advice and information.
