Social Gathering March 2019

Our next social gathering will be Thursday, March 7th, 7:00 pm, to meet our new scholarship recipients, Dan Anderson and Emily Pool and to cheer on Nicci Guagliardo, who attended Oxford's Creative Writing Program last year, as she competes in Write Club, an open mic night competition at Syntax Physic Opera. Syntax is a pub with great food, and it's located at 554 S. Broadway, about 2½ blocks south of Alameda. There is a $10 cover, and all proceeds go to a charity of the write club winner's choice!

A review of the 2017-2018 Denver Branch Program Year with reports from the Branch President, Treasurer and Committee Chairs; recognition and thanks to outgoing Board Members; a presentation of the slate of Board Member and Officer candidates by the Nominating Committee; and the election of new Board Members and Officers.

On Sunday, June 11 members gathered at the home of Basil Carpenter and Bruce Haefner to celebrate the 91st birthday of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. The day's moderate temperatures and light breezes were a welcome relief to the week's record-setting heat.
