The 72nd Luard Morse scholar, Angel studied for the Winter/Spring 2014 Semester at  Oxford University, St. Edmund's College. She plans to pursue a doctorate in laboratory pathology and medicine. Ultimately, she hopes to conduct research and teach at a university in an underprivileged community. Among her many achievements, Angel is Vice President of the Ecological Society of America, Howard Chapter and an Environmental  Biology Scholar – National Science Foundation Fellowship.
