ESU National Shakespeare Writing Competition

Year-round Shakespeare programming-
keeps the excitement of the
National Shakespeare Competition going!
This program is designed for students who express their love of Shakespeare through creative and analytical writing. It will consist of competitive and non-competitive writing events for middle and high school students.
•Engages student writers in SPED/ENL, Gen Ed and Advanced (AP)
• Quality Teacher Support – visit each competition's page for links to lesson plans and resources
•A national program with local rounds - see if your branch is participating
Contains important information for ESU Branches, judges, teachers and students!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
•Students will submit their entries to each competition via forms on the competition pages.
•A panel of judges selected by the ESU will read the submissions and select winners for national prizes
•Individual branches may opt in to receive their local submissions and provide additional prizes
Our goal was to create a program of academic value to students, that provides pedagogically sound resources for our community of teachers, and that enriches our community of branches and members.
