Your local ESU Branch will contact you to schedule an interview if required.

This is a 2-Tier Scholarship. First, you must be awarded an ESU TLab Branch Scholarship. After being notified of the Award, an ESU TLab Scholar must then apply and be accepted by the UK program of their choice at either Shakespeare's Globe in London, Oxford, or  SUISS/Edinburgh.

The ESU TLab Scholar will need to complete the UK institution's application and email all materials to ESU National Headquarters to auhl@esuus.org for final review and submission to the UK institution by April 1st.

Most ESU TLab Scholarship recipients are accepted into their first choice program. However, final acceptance is determined and notified by the UK institution via email in Spring 2024, not the ESU.

Information on the 2024 UK programs and application requirements/forms can be found on the ESU website at:  https://www.esuus.org/esu/programs/study_abroad_for_teachers/

Teachers who do not receive an ESU Branch TLab Scholarship may still apply to the UK program of their choice through the ESU. However, they will need to provide the funds in full for the selected program.

We encourage those teachers to either seek out alternate funding sources or apply again the following year. Please consult our Fundraising Guide for further advice and information..

If you have any questions, please contact Alice Uhl at auhl@esuus.org or call 212-818-1200 ext. 212.
