The English Speaking Union of the United States is a 100 year old membership organization that advances the use of the English language as a means of improving international understanding through its educational program initiatives. The Coordinator is a key member of the ESUUS Development team and is responsible for leading a range of activities that support our fundraising efforts. This includes assistance with maintaining donor relationships; prospect research & management; database management; fundraising events; and general department administration
Research gift opportunities for existing and potential donors
Help create strategies for new funders
Assist with grant research and proposal writing
Process gifts, pledges and pledge payments
Donor acknowledgement coordination
Assist with events coordination and planning
Alumni Program research and engagement
Run donor reports from Razor's Edge
Research corporate sponsorship/ partnership opportunities for events and program support
Strong written and oral communication skills 2 years related experience required, non-profit area preferred but not mandatory
Research and Social Media Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Zoom, Raiser's Edge or others and Google Docs
Capacity to work independently and take initiative on own projects
Maturity and diplomacy with an outgoing personality to engage with multiple audiences
Interest and experience in Education, International Travel and ESL Programs a plus.
The ESU operates during standard business hours Monday through Friday. Currently ESU employees will be offered an option to work remotely three days a week once a pre-determined training period is completed. Proof of COVID 19 vaccinations is required to be presented by employees on their first day of work. Must be located in the New York City Area.
Salary based on experience 50K To 60K Annually. Full Benefits Package includes Dental and Vision.
