Coronation Invite - SOLD OUT

Dr. E. Quinn Peeper, His Britannic Majesty's Honorary Consul in New Orleans, cordially invites you for elevenses at the home of Dr. Peeper and Michael Harold in Pass Christian, Mississippi, followed by a delightful luncheon, open bar, and an exciting vintage schooner race at the Pass Christian Yacht Club. The menu for elevenses and the yacht club will feature food from historic royal coronations and jubilees. The program is in celebration of King Charles III's historic coronation.

This special event will be held on May 6, 2023—the same day as the King's official coronation at London's Westminster Abbey, a place that has been the location of coronations for the past 900 years. The Royal Family announced, "The ceremony at Westminster Abbey will see His Majesty King Charles III crowned alongside Camilla, The Queen Consort."

A recording of the televised coronation at Westminster Abbey held earlier in the day will be shown at the yacht club.

We will have a fun hat competition. Ladies are invited to wear their favorite hat or fascinator. Gentlemen are welcome to wear their favorite bowler or top hat. Best lady's and gentleman's hat, as judged by a milliner, will receive a prize. Of course, hats are optional, and everyone is welcome, hat or no hat.

We will test your coronation knowledge with The King Charles III Trivia Quiz and, finally, one last competition—a prize for the best tabletop decoration.

Dr. Peeper commented, "This afternoon program at Pass Christian Yacht Club is not just an ordinary celebration—the King's coronation celebration will be delightfully extravagant and one not to miss!"
