Chatsworth, the fabled estate in the United Kingdom, is home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire and has been passed down through 16 generations of the Cavendish family. Rich with thousands of objects, spanning four centuries, the Devonshire Collection is widely celebrated as one of the most significant collections of art and objects in Europe.
Be part of this extraordinary world in Treasures from Chatsworth: The Exhibition, an immersive, museum-style presentation featuring 43 works displayed in a ground-breaking showcase created by David Korins – set designer for Hamilton. The exhibition allows visitors the opportunity to experience a curated selection of masterworks firsthand in Sotheby's reimagined New York galleries.
Visitors have to chance to see 500 years of art and objects from the Devonshire Collection including: fine art from Rembrandt van Rijn to Lucian Freud; furniture and decorative objects from the 16th to 21st centuries; exceptional jewels and garments; and archival materials commemorating historic occasions.
