Princeton Branch Shakespeare Competition

Princeton Branch Shakespeare Competition

On Sunday, February 25, the annual Shakespeare competition will be held by the Princeton Branch of the English-Speaking Union. The competition will begin at 3:00 p.m., and takes place in the Ding Music Hall on the campus of the Peddie School in Hightstown, New Jersey. All ESU members and the public are welcome to attend.  Refreshments will be served following the performances. Approximately a dozen schools will participate, with each student performing a soliloquy and a sonnet.  The winner of the competition will progress to the National Shakespeare Competition on April 15, 2024, at Lincoln Center in New York City.
