Shakespeare Competition News

The Shakespeare Committee held our annual competition on March 1st at the Frye Art Museum. We had a wonderful selection of schools participating- ranging from 0lympia High School in the south (participating for the first time) to Oak Harbor High School in the north.

We had 17 students participate, reciting a Monologue and a Sonnet. They were all very enthusiastic about participating.

The winner this year came from Kentlake High School, Miranda Levine. Miranda will be represent our branch in New York at the National Competition in April. The Second place winner came from Oak Harbor High School, Nikesha Gooding and the third place winner came from Olympia School, Jack Steiner. See pictures of the event in the photo section of this site.
Congratulations!

If you have not attended the competition in the past we encourage you to come next year!!
