Help Underwrite Our Scholarship Winners for the May 15th Annual General Meeting Dinner

Laura de Vos, Safiya Karmy-Jones and SuMiyat Thu are first-year graduate students in the University of Washington's Department of English. They are studying everything from colonial literature to literature of "multiple Englishes." They will be officially honored at the Annual General Meeting on May 15th at the Seattle Yacht Club. Won't you please help underwrite the cost of their dinners?
Branch President, Sarah Atwood, has taken the first step by underwriting the dinner cost for University of Washington Professor, Jeffrey Knight, who was involved in the efforts of the Seattle Public Library consortium (including our Seattle branch) to get an exhibit of Shakespeare's First Folio here in 2016.

It is NOT necessary for a single individual to underwrite the entire $75; for example, five people at $15 each can do it, or three at $25, and so on. Additional thanks to Ingeborg Dunlap and Eli Kirkpatrick, who are jointly underwriting a scholar; you can do it, too!

Contact Loveday Conquest at (206) 325-7237 or LLCONQUEST@GMAIL.COM if you can be part of a team to underwrite a scholar. Your efforts will help launch the next generation of English teachers!
