THEN

Dale Wainwright was an economics major at Howard University when he spent his Luard Scholarship junior year at The London School of Economics. He graduated from Howard summa cum laude, and earned his Juris Doctor from The University of Chicago Law School.

NOW

In 2002, Dale won election to the Texas Supreme Court after serving as Presiding Judge for the 334th Judicial District Court in Houston, Texas. He is a director of the Aspiring Youth Foundation and the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program, a Fellow of the Texas and Houston Bar Foundations, and serves on professional committees of the American Bar Association and the Texas Bar Association.

Luard opened doors to show me just how high our achievements can be. I found the exposure to different cultures to be exhilarating and challenging. My study at the London School of Economics was tremendously beneficial to me, opening avenues for achievement I had only dreamed of previously.
